Thanks to a great harvest, there is an abundance of coffee now! Colombia and several other coffee markets have a very high yield now, so prices are going down by 6%.
They should actually go down much more than that, since they have been raised 3 times in the past year, and that totals a 31% increase in price! It is funny how they are always so quick to raise the prices when the harvest is smaller, but so slow in decreasing them when there is a great harvest! They should lower the price by at least 20%.
There seems to be some kind of price fixing, because all of the major coffee companies have announced the same 6% decrease in price at the same time.
