I got my Bundt Pan w/ S and H Green stamps. It is a heavy cast iron one w/ a non stick inside and i have made box cakes in it.

Me too!  I usually save my Bundt pan for cakes that are heavy and dense.  A light, fine textured cake, such as one made from a mix, often falls apart when being removed from the pan.

O.k.  Thanks!  I am more of a mix person but I have seen a couple in my magazines that I thought I might try!

Re: Baking with Bundt Pan -- Question

I prefer the bundt cake to any of the others.  I like to put fillings, candy whatever I can think of in the middle then pour remaining batter on top of that.

Have fun and create!!

Re: Baking with Bundt Pan -- Question

Years ago had a recipe for an easy Baba Au Rum. It used 2 pound cake mixes in a Bundt pan. When it was done and still warm one turned it out on a cake platter and poked holes in it. Then poured a mixture of orange juice and rum over it. It was delicious!!!
