do couples have to have matching weddng rings?

When we got married 15 yrs ago, I was into yellow gold and of course that's what my wedding ring is. I never wear yellow gold anymore and haven't for probably 10 yrs! Want to get a white gold ring, which my DH is fine with but he is fine with his yellow gold ring and has no interest in changing it. What are your thoughts-- will it look funny when we're out as a couple if our rings are different colors? Does it matter? I personally don't really think it matters but just would like some opinions. Thanks so much for your input!!
