Next up, also an adopted and modified piece: Tiny akoya keshi pearls and white South Sea pearl stations. The little akoya keshi have wild rainbow overtones and highlights; the South Sea have a slight silvery cast, almost a hint of blue in certain lights. The necklace was 35" long, with 7 white South Sea pearls on. The wonderful people at Pearl Paradise (who made this necklace originally) helped me buy a white South Sea bracelet, which we took apart, to add more pearls and increase the length so I can easily double it. It's really beautiful Best of all, I have leftover pearls to create earrings and maybe even a "tin cup" style bracelet later.

Wonderful to see you posting Luvs and Lavender it has been a loooong time come back soon.
Cathy I can see why you loved tose strands. I also remember seeing the first strand on Sarah's site and loved it too. And the PP keshi and white ss is divine. I am so happy for you.
Since we lost all the pictures on the old thread maybe we should just post pictures of what pearls we are wearing. Then we can have at least some of our pictures on here again.

I do love my goldens and have been wearing them a real lot. Three fun pictures of them. They do glow in the dark.....
A short explaination. My first husbands uncle was a goldsmith and he for our wedding took a silver bowl and plated it in 24kt gold. It has been sitting on my coffee table all this time. When I went to PP to pick up my pearls I took the dish with me to see if they would be close in color. Weeeel you can see that my pearls match 24kt gold. To say I was thrilled is an understatment..
In the light box at PP with my new green Tahitian earrings.

@CathyRD wrote:Okay, here are a few new things I've been wearing First up: A full 40" rope of varying sizes and shades of vintage akoya pearls, interspersed with genuine white Japanese Kasumi pearls with pink overtones. Admired this lovely creation by Sarah of Kojima Pearl Company for a long time. Another lucky lady bought and enjoyed it, but recently decided to downsize her collection due to life changes, so I adopted it ... to my joy! The photos are Sarah's stock photos; too much rain here to even think of taking photos
Beautiful CathyRD.

You had me laughing out loud with that one Lavenderjunkie... I wouldn't have worn that at 25 let alone now. It's pearly though...
