J277325 Judith Ripka Blue Topaz DQ Ring Question

I purchased J277325 Judith Ripka London Blue Topaz and DQ Ring. It's a beautiful ring; however, the light only shines through on each end, top and bottom, of the stone. The undergallery fleur de lis is stamped, but not cut out, on my ring. So there's no light shining through the bottom of the ring. Is that the way it's supposed to be?
