Changing Seasons cuff: what am I doing wrong??

I received the Changing Seasons TSV cuff. I spent an hour this afternoon trying to remove the bead end caps to take the cuff apart. No luck! I followed the instructions included but instead of coming off, the beads just turn around and around.

What am I doing wrong? Any help appreciated.
