found that we have a mouse in the house

the winter of 2016 had a mouse and it took 2 months to get rid of it. last year we had no mice but this year last monday my mother inaw saw a mouse run thru her living room. so we put stcky traps and we have electronic plug ins to keep mice away. well last night up stairs we live sitting on toilet i saw a mouse run tward me into bathroom and again at 445 this morning so we went to lowes to buy mouse stuff. we wasnt really sure what to buy and a guy mike that worked there came over and asked if we needed any help and i said we have a mouse in the house. he was super nice and helpful. he told us what in our carrage was a waste of money and what we should buy. he had us buy a bunch of them sticky trays and he said buy a kit kat bar and put a small peice on the center of tray and had us buy tom cat attractant and put a couple drops on it and it will atrack mouse. he said this works very well. and once mice are caught buy a can of great stuff insulting foam sealant .its a pest block. he said spray this around pipe opening and any space no matter how small space is and they cant come back in and walk around outside of your house and spray any opening out there to keep mice from coming in. figured i would share what we were told incase anyone else has mice problems. good luck everyone.

I hate having mice in the house and it seems that when there is one there are actually more. We had mice get in our attic last year and from there they would make their way to the basement. We caught three in the basement but I could hear more in the attic and couldn’t sleep at night listening to them. We ended up calling a specialist and the specialist went all around our house and plugged any possible openings in the siding, around pipes and inside the garage. I thought I had everything plugged myself but he found more possible points of entry. I was so glad to be rid of them.

My Eddy is adept at mouse-catching. He's an Amstaff/Cocker with an astounding ability to sniff and catch.

His first catch, he proudly presented this dead mouse before me. I screamed and ran outside, grabbed the pooper-scooper, ran back in, scooped it up then ran into the woods with it. After that, Eddy caught another but he tried to hide it as he ran into his yard, Followed him out and ordered he drop it; then scooped it up and again ran into the woods. Call a company in to take care of the problem - totally worth it,

If you choose not to, Eddy traced them entering thru heating pipes in cellar. They also go by water pipes and fridge water thing. Bought pink stuff on amazonsmile - thin mesh - and squeezed around each pipe. One got in my engine, so they hung couple mothball bags inside after they cleaned it up. Whatever you do don't use those no kills - they seem to enjoy it and keep coming back.

I have no mouse problem but have had a resurgence of ants. Pesky things! They appeared to be gone after a relentlessly wet summer but I've got a new crop. Hope you get those mice under control.

Another of my dislikes about fall; outside critters trying to get inside.

Exterminator was here last week and I gave him instructions to spray heavier outside to kill the many brown wood spiders trying to get into the garage, and be sure to check our bait stations. All 3 bait stations were empty, so the mice and rats are feeding from them.

Last night while my husband was on the porch smoking, he watched what turned out to be a rat run from my brothers yard, across the road, and up my driveway trying to get under my garage doors. By the time my husband grabbed the pellet gun, the rat ran around the corner of the house. Hopefully he stopped at the bait station for a bite to eat! We have rat bait and sticky traps in our basement and garage as well.

Yeah, this is normal where we live, it’s very wooded- Everyone has them when it starts to get cold.

Set up a snap trap with a dab of peanut butter. The sooner the better, because the scouts come first before the fam moves in!! So you want to get them right away, and the fam will set up house elsewhere! Very hard to find out where they enter, could be a teeny opening, but ours come in through teeny gap under garage door, so traps are there-

one more piece of advice, do NOT use poison, the mice can die in the walls and it smalls horrid for at least 1 month. Don’t ask how I know this.... 😫

We have no mice, but we have fruit flies.No matter what we use, we still have them. I have been trying to get of them completely for weeks.

This time of the year, all kinds of critters come inside to get warm. I hope the squirrels stay out of the house and the deer stop eating my shrubs. I have several wrapped in burlap right now, but they are already chewed up.

Yes they want a warm cozy home for winter but they can destroy, urine & poo so hope you can get rid of it & other of his family members. Got 2 cats but 1 cat is shy but I will send over the agressive one in exchange Maria cooks for me. Good luck let us know if all this works out.

@Pooky1 It might take a few days but the trap will probably work. I had one in another house I lived in and I couldn't believe the noise it made all night. It drove me crazy.
