I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about a little vintage ornament I have from my childhood. I'm 63, and my mom got it somewhere many years ago. It was on our family tree for many years.
It's a tiny little 3 dimensional house made of stiff cardboard covered with colorful glitter or mica dust and has the word Japan on the bottom.
It looks like it could have been part of a miniature village, yet it has a little round "eye" on the top for hanging it from an ornamant hook. It's old and tired, but I just love it and it's been on my own tree for almost 40 years.
Has anyone ever seen this type of ornament/decoration? If so, any idea what it might be called or what to look for if I go searching?
