New Washer and Dryer

I was reading some posts from about 6 months ago recommending washers. I'd like to know for those of you that purchased a new washer what the outcome was as far as how satisified you are with your purchase. I've decided to buy a HE top loader because of some of the negative issues on front loaders. I'm looking at a mid-range LG - it has 8 cycles which seems like plenty to me. The controls look to be all electronic which has me a little worried because of the potential for needed repairs. Any input would be great, Ladies. Thanks.
