You have a good memory!
I am biased but I sure think he's a cutey petutey too!
Well, maybe not such a good memory but I LOVE animals!!!
I remember the picture in your kitchen with Ruger & the large, green ornament (I think you really wanted red but the red was sold out maybe???).
Such a cutey pie & a great picture poser!!!

Ah yes! The big green ornament. You are right - I did want the red, but am actually happy I ended up with the green after all.

Chairs look great. Keep them skirted!

I'm slightly old fashioned, but I don't care for this particular leg exposed. I do like the look of exposed legs in general, and those could be replaced with something more finished looking, but I think they do look nice with the skirts.
My first impression would be that if you change the legs, maybe it would be ok to remove the skirt. If those legs stay, keep the skirt.
Your mom's chairs are very nice and I love your new fabric!

I agree with the others that the chairs look better skirted. I mainly wanted to say that Ruger is a beautiful dog!

@crazycockermom, yes keep the skirt. Very nice job.
About 30 years ago, I rescued a badly damaged chair that had beautiful oak arms, legs and framing and had it reupholstered. It belonged to DH's grandparents and I took it from the cottage before we tore it down and rebuilt a new one. It is one of my favorite chairs. Tons of personality. You wouldn't believe the transformation! It's great to have such a good result from reuphostery. Congrats to you. LM

I think the chair/ottoman looks very nice and the skirts look good.
I wouldn't change a thing.
When you pulled up the fabric to show the leg, it looks like the upholsterer forgot to finish the fabric where the threads are hanging.
I would never leave unfinished raw edges like that. Perhaps they just forgot?

I love the chair/ottoman, fabric and skirt. Do not have them take the skirt off. They did a great job.

I think the chairs came out great! Keep the skirts and the dog!
