Wire, I suppose.  They may not be intended for ornaments, or to be one's main Christmas tree, but just a secondary one.  They are prelit, so at least there is something festive about them.

@ECBG@RazorSharp  I would probably just use a garland to simulate ruffles on the skirt.  I think they would be great in an area not so formal.   I like them but not for my main tree.

Would be wonderful in a garment district or an art gallery. Can't see using them an actual home, unless the people living there were very art-oriented. Maybe a ski lodge??
