Our builder planted Hibuscus plants down the side of each home - various colors , though each home was all one color. Now apparently they are cross pollinating because different colors are blooming in some plants. For instance ours are peach and next door are yellow but now she has some peach ones and we have some yellow flowers. Those bees and birds have been busy! Some other neighbors have the same multicolors occuring. We are very surprised to see this - didn't know it was possible. The colors are not the true color - you can tell it is a bit of a muddy mixed up color. She has one that is yellow with a red throat - ? where that came from.

Cross pollination is a wonderful phenomenon. Something to think about also with the hibiscus plants is dominate and recessive genes in the gene pools of the plants themselves. Another of Mother Nature's miracles.

Enjoy your beautiful flowers.

About a half mile away we have a farmer who raises bees - lots of bee hives - so we have a lot of bees - probably contributes to this.

Does the beekeeper sell honey?

Your flowers are a wonderful contribution to the bees making honey.

He sells it to commercial business for bottling and sale. He has quite a large amount of bees.Something like 10 acres covered with hives I've been told.We aren't allowed to have our house sprayed for things like termites or other insects because of his bees being so close. Our insect control man puts some powder in the ground around the foundation and that is all they can do, and it must be sprinkled, not sprayed. When we get mud daubers they just remove the nests and clean them up - no spraying.
