The volunteering came into a conversation with the gardens director last Friday. I can volunteer Mon. - Thurs. for 2 or 4 hours each day. According to her, she is there every day for 6 hours and can use some help. There won't be outdoor gardening and much will be overseeing the museum and gift shop. I'm giving it serious thought.

Have you done volunteer work? If so, did you find it rewarding or a chore?

By the way, she assured me, I don't have to have vast knowledge of every plant, just some found in our area. That kinda took away some of the anxiety.
