@candys mine That's interesting, I've never heard of that.
Unfortunately it looks like the shamrock is not long for this world. Still very cold where I live so I can't put it outside or on the porch. It was all droopy once but came back to life. But this time, still droopy. Enough water and sunlight or lamplight.

I usually keep my poinsettias after Christmas and put them outside, on the deck, when the weather warms, around mid-May. They get very big and are a nice addition to all the other greenery on the deck. The red bracts eventually fall off, of course, and I don't bother trying to bring them back. I had three last year and finally discarded them in December. At that point, they were in the garage and it was just too cold - below freezing - to keep them going.
