I have little oak seedlings growing in my flowerbeds. Its been in the 90's here in Ar. so I'm wondering if I can dig some up, pot to plant this fall. Or would it be better to want until fall to transplant straight into the ground.
Also, how deep should I dig to safely get the roots? I would guess the biggest ones are about 8 to 10 inches tall. Is that to small?
I would really like to save some of these baby oaks. We had a tornado in our town afew months ago and alot of my neighbors lost many trees. I would love to share them with the neighborhood.
Any helpful suggestions would be great!
Thanks!!!
