I think the OP must mean: do you form opinions or size other women up based on their handbags. For me, I just try to take in whatever message the other person is trying to send with their overall appearance. It isn't just one thing. It's the whole effect.

Some effects do turn me off. That's true. But just because I'm turned off, doesn't mean there's any moral weight to it. Judgement has moral overtones--good or bad, and for me that doesn't play into it. It's just, "I like that look," or "I don't get that look, but whatever."

I never notice other women's handbags unless they have a logo print bag of some type. There are many many with LVs around here, I mean it's oversaturated and it is no longer the Speedys so much. I see many NeverFull GM and no doubt they are fake.

In the early '80s there were parties where the hostess would bring in flight attendants, they sold designer knock-offs. I remember lots of young women and teen girls carrying fake LVs even back then.

Boy am I in trouble. I carry a decorated grocery bag that I buy for $1.99 to carry my groceries home. I have a few other bags but I mainly use them for travel and they have pockets and places to store and hide things.

I notice a smile or a friendly gesture such as a wave or kind words. I love to chat with strangers and often just start talking. My hubby always asks where I know this person and I just tell him I never saw them before until now but next time around I will know them better.
