Whaaat?" It's the most annoying phrase since "Shut the front door!

I love David V. on his cooking show, but lately he's taken to saying "Whaaat?" in that high pitched tone. This morning I heard Jayne B. doing it, too. I know there are worse things to be concerned about in this life, but that's a trend that needs to stop, in my opinion.
