I don't think too many people feel that there is something to hide when they have cancer...I think most people reach out to others for support to help them through a scary diagnosis.Shawn wouldn't do anything to upset her dad.I think from how she'd speaks they are very close.

First, I want to clarify something; I did not intend for my original comment to sound in any way negative . Actually I was chuckling when I wrote it because I like Shawn and believe she is a very sweet lady. My prayers go out to her and her family.

It was not a discussion.  She posted about it on her FB page.  Many people find strength and support through sharing with others.  I see nothing inappropriate with that @Miranda1550
