LL Bean, Land's End, Eddie Bauer are all places where you can still find a classic moderately priced cardigan.

J Crew and Brooks Brothers are higher priced suggestions.

I bought this cardigan (same color) after Christmas. I think it's so pretty.

I was going to recommend Lands End as well. They always carry the classic cardigan in solid colors (as well as some fun prints, but it doesn't sound like that's what the OP is looking for). Right now the Women's Fine Gauge Supima Crew Cardigan is on sale for $29.99 in a bunch of colors (current colors are $49).

Gotta love Lands End for the basics ${#emotions_dlg.thumbup}$
