Ladies, what are your favorite THREE mini series from PBS?

I can't stand being without Downton Abbey!  The news that the set burned down has been such a disappointment! (Anguish here! Who's with me?!!!)

Second, I love Mr Selfridge.  Season two is unattainable at present, but I hope I will be lucky! (Go Netflix!).

I LOVED Pride and Prejudice.  I could have just stepped into that time!  (even if they didn't have Walmart!!!).

Downton Abbey (will also be sad when it ends)

Poldark (so handsome!)

The Great British Baking Show (can that count as a mini series?)

Of course Downton Abbey first and foremost then Call the midwife and after that probably Poldark or Mr Selfridge.

I loved I Claudius (from waaaaayyyy back).

Recently I've enjoyed Mr. Selfridge and am looking forward to the next season. I'll be sorry when it finishes.

I don't watch them as much as I once did so I'm having trouble picking a third!

I recall that Pride and Prejdice was good and a few years ago they did an interesting take on Jane Eyre.

I agree but I would have to pick Call the Midwife before the Great British Baking Show as much as I love it.  So miss Inspector Morris and his series as well as the series with Helen Mirren.  I can't recall the name at this time.

jbinrwc: Wasn't the Helen Mirren series "Prime Suspect"?

I think my favorite was "The Jewel in the Crown" which our PBS showed

again, recently.  Also watched all the "Inspector Morris" and like "Inspector

Lewis" and now, "Endeavor".  "Call the Midwife" is well done and I love

"Last Tango in Halifax".  Can't believe this will be the last season of "Downton Abbey".  Recently our local PBS began showing "Shetland"

a series about a detective on the Shetland islands, which is excellent - the scenery is spectacular.  There have been so many wonderful Masterpiece

Theater productions over the years, it's difficult to remember them all.

The upcoming "Home Fires" about the Womens Institute during WWII looks good and starts this coming Sunday at 8pm.

I recently watched The Forsyte Saga and REALLY enjoyed it! I love Doc Martin and am looking forward to the next series in 2016. I do enjoy Downton but am not a fanatic about it. (I also love almost any PBS mystery series, old or new -- most recently Grantchester.)
