Hi Pam  I have worn black tops since high school. I am a Winter, so black looks good on me. 

My favorite black blouses are the handmade peasant tie string at the neck with many little colorful flowers seen a round like jewelry. 

I have the same style in whites, also.

For me: there is no rule for whatever I like, just as llong as 

_ no limegreens, faded or bright yellow_ and I don't like cherry red competitive with my red lipstick.

 Glad I saw you here, today. Have been gone throughout the better part of a l l  day....

Yep...wear black tops.  I'm also a WINTER, so not a color issue, BUT I'm over 50.....I'm even over 60.  At this point in my life, I'm confident enough to wear or not wear anything I darn well please.  Let's hear for us Baby Boomers and Hippie Generation gals!!  LOL

Oh, of course.  I don't think age has anything to do with color.  I think certain colors look better on certain people than others.  But I never gave age one thought.  I believe if you like or love a color, chances are you look great in it, too.

I know I favor certain colors and feel better in them.  When I wear certain colors, I get more compliments, such as pink, mint green, turquoise.  

I believe the only limitations are ones we impose on ourselves.

No dont get rid of them,wear some great jewelry with tham if you feel they are too dark for you now.I am 75 and i still ear black and it looks good too.lol
