Sure it was wet but when I looked at the bottom of the shoes they were as smooth as a baby's bottom....

Was this a fluke occurance? I've been hesitant to buy them ever since...

No they were Clarks.

After seeing a few presentations I picked up 2 pairs at the outlet mall; sandals and a regular closed toe shoe (which I've worn like twice).

I don't own any Sketchers.

OOPs. just realized what you meant..

As the Gilda Radner character used to say
