Cotton/Spandex blend - too hot for warm weather?

I have a Denim and Co shirt that I can't wear in warm weather.  I overheat immediately.  When I put on a cotton shirt I'm fine.  Anyone else find this blend of cotton and spandex is just too hot or is it me?  It's 8 percent spandex.

Agree completely Snoop! Not only does the fabric not breathe, it has a rubbery feeling. I like 100% cotton!

Anything made with rubber (spandex)even in a cotton blend is never your friend in the heat you fry in it, and in the winter it feels cold against the skin.

I agree, not a good combo.  I feel the same way with polyester and spandex.  Yuk!!

@Snoopp

Can't do the man-made fibers, especially in summer.

hate all cotton any time of the year.......i prefer my cotton to have some spandex in it for better wear, less chances of fading, fewer wrinkles, and better shape retention.

Cotton/span combo is hot for me to wear. Any other spandex combo with rayon or poly is much cooler for me. Cotton/poly is okay.Woman Happy

I agree, cotton/spandex not a good combo. in the summer. For me 100% cotton is always the best in the Summer heat.

Love the shape retention of spandex but hate the "shrink-wrapped" feeling!

Liquid knit is also very hot in the summer.
