The model is "Kristen Clothilde" a prominent Ralph Lauren model in the 80's. You may remember her.

These pictures remind me of "back in the day" when we admired seams sewn carefully so they would lie flat!

I want the ones with wheels!

I really like plaid too. I just picked up this versatile piece with a contemporary flare.

I've always loved plaids but there's nothing worse than a garment with mismatched plaids.

Hi @LTT1!

Thank you for posting these "mad for plaid" pictures.  Call me Annie Hall, but I have always had a penchant for beautifully man-tailored woolens with just a touch of femininity--i.e., lace or jewelry.

I can tell from the pictures that Ralph Lauren's pieces are well-made and exquisitely tailored. And I think I just changed my mind about something.  I recently told my husband that I plan to donate a Calvin Klein wool plaid military-style jacket.  However he said it is a really nice jacket, that I look good in it and suggested I not part with it.  Hmmmm, I may just heed his advice.

I love a pretty classic plaid. They are so rich looking.

When I was a teenager madras plaid was all the rage. I had everything in madras, shorts, tops, blazars even a swimsuit - though it faded terribly and I hated it half way thru the summer. Now we tend to only see plaids occasionally and always in the winter.
