I have a lot of folders on my desktop I keep recipes in and yes I do have them on another hard drive so I do know they aren't lost.

My question is though, I have them in alphabetical order and when I opened tonight they were all over and some are gone?

Usually I can just rearrange them back the way they were but not this time for some reason, can't move them where I want them to be, go wherever they want to go once I put them back where I wanted them.

This has never happened before that I can't rearrange them back to how I had them? I did shut down and restart twice plus hit refresh as well as sort by name, nothing.

any suggestions? thanks

Open the folder where the recipes are unorganized, go the the menu at the top of your screen and select view.  Choose sort by, select name and it should put them back into alphabetical order.
