I think that the change is a deliberate one as at the bottom of your account page is QVC's social media feed. But why put that on an account page?

I also want to add that if I sign in to the QVC Community boards and I'm taken to my account page, the account page is not a secure one, i.e. it has an http in front of the URL rather than an https. If I sign in to my account from the QVC home page, then it will take me to my account page that is secure as there is an https in the URL.

I think that needs to be fixed so that no matter whether you are signing in to the Community boards or the QVC home page that your account page is totally secure. A secure page should not have unsecured content on it like QVC's social media feed which is probably some kind of plug-in. Why not put the social media feed somewhere else which people can see?

Mod sent in a tech request on Friday to get it fixed.  Wonder where it went?

Sign in still going to order page. Think you need some new I.T. people. This is taking way too long to correct!!

.....also what's the deal with "best answer" in bottom right corner? The Q has some serious site issues.

Apparently to the shipping department, so don't expect anything to happen too quickly... What rankles most, I think, is that they've failed, as they always do, to acknowledge the fact in any meaningful way...

I don't nomrally do this, but I'm going to repeat a post from earlier threads a third time because I feel we're seeing a significant security problem that's being ignored by the tech support staff.   I do not think this is the fault of the moderators, because they do not provide IT support -- I feel certain they have shared multiple reports and probably all we can do is continue to voice our concerns.

I think the ongoing technical problem is much more serious than some realize.    By taking us to the shopping area to log in, even though we wanted to be only in the community forums, the security of our personal info (in the shopping site) is compromised in my opinion.

The shopping area is supposed to be more secure than the forums because it's directly linked to our personal and financial information (an https site as opposed to the Community's less-secure http).    In the past, the access to the 2 areas was carefully kept separate -- now it isn't.   This new redirect causes us to be signed into both our shopping account and our posting account.

Also, for both areas, when I use Firefox or Chrome, the browser indicates the connection is not secure (this refers to a QVC website problem -- not our internet provider).   Several of us reported the connection issue on a Customer Care thread in December and the problem never has been addressed or corrected.

          Example:

image.jpeg Firefox security alert 1

A long time ago I removed my personal and financial info from the website.    When I add it back to make a purchase I remove it again after everything has cleared.     This substandard website needs serious attention...  but frankly I don't think anything substantial will be done.

Hi, @Shanus!   "Best Answer" is a feature on this particular forum platform -- it's not a glitch.    It's available to the person who creates the thread, and they have the option of assigning a reply as being the "best answer" if they choose to do so.    The option isn't available in all the sub-forums...  I'm not sure which ones have this feature and which ones don't.

@TY,  The shopping site and the social media site have always been in separate locations but are linked and only appear to be all in one place since we see the two simultaneously on our screen.    That's why we normally would see the "http" prefix when signing onto the Community, and then if we navigated to the shopping site we would see the "https" prefix and we had to sign in again.   Now there's a problem with some sort of weird, messy, and (in my opinion) inappropriate programming snafu and I agree with you that it is a security issue.
