I avoid reading book jacket info until I am well into the book: I really don't want any hints about what's going to happen.

Similarly, I don't look at photos in true crime books until I come upon them naturally.

I have a friend who typically reads the last page of a mystery because she doesn't want to worry too much.

What do you do?
