iMO this win needs to be put in the context of how much money you've spent on scratch-off cards.  Winning is nice, but you stil may not be ahead.

I'm not a lottery ticket player.   I've always thought  it's better to just put your money in savings  ....   if not investments.

And then my next door neighbor (who never buys lottery tickets) bought a scratcher on her birthday and won $2,000!   A fluke?    

So, perhaps I'll start buying one lottery ticket a year on my birthday.         LOL
