Mary Jane's and any candy bar.  One year our neighbor, a Holsum bread employee, gave out mini wrapped loaves of bread.  I have never forgotten that.  It was good, too.  Another neighbor used to give us a handful of pennies.

One neighbor worked for Old Dutch, he gave out small bags of potato chips, loved that!

I hated the peanut butter taffy, in the little orange or black wrappers, but now I actually buy it for us, not to hand out! So good when fresh!!

100Grand bars, Milky Way,  Almond Joy and especially Mallo Cups.  I like Reece's cups but it was always a sure trade with my siblings a Reeces for a Mallo Cup!

Well, a L O N G time ago when I was a kid, it was Tootsie Rolls - that was the biggie. Do not recall ever getting $$. There were no restrictions on us eating anything - that started with my daughter's generation. So sad, but it still holds true - be careful what you get if trick or treating.
