What is the difference between Hobby Lobby and Michael's?

The good news is there are 2 new businesses coming to our area, Hobby Lobby & Ulta. They are claiming to bring 100 new jobs full & part time. They are both joining a strip mall that already contains Michael's.

Aren't Michael's and Hobby Lobby very similar? Would they compliment each other or be fierce competitors?

I've never been inside of an Ulta store either. I just browsed their website and I see Philosophy. I'm hoping they carry a nice variety of 3 in 1 shower gels.

I hope HL doesn't run Michael's out of business.
