What is "Garden Party" attire

All the tellers and others at my bank branch have been invited to a dinner where we'll receive awards for sales and deposits. They say on the invitation to wear Garden Party attire. What does this mean to you? I know we can't wear shorts and I wouldn't look good in a sundress. Can you give me some help on what kind of outfit to put together?
