When I see someone who is divorced and has children getting married and having the entire wedding extravaganza with the big dress and bridesmaids etc - especially when she is close to or over 40 I think it is just immature and ridiculous.
I was married a second time when I was 34 - we had 20 people - quiet ceremony - at my church and since the wedding was early in the day we had a brunch at a local restaurant where the guests ordered from the menu. My Mom made us a very pretty cake decorated with sugar bells and lavender flowers. It was private, quiet and mature - everyone who was there still says it was perfection for a second marriage.then we sent out announcements that included our new address and phone number.
am I the only one who thinks seeing a middle age woman marching down the aisle in the big dress and veil with all the trimmings is just ridiculous?
