We have a beautiful cascade of climbing roses in the backyard. Every year it gets more and more beautiful. Another thing that's getting better with age is the lavender. It puts on a gorgeous spectacle, is long-lasting, smells great, and attracts hummingbirds (something I hadn't noticed until this year).

Even our late spring flowers are gone, but there's always something in the garden to take their place. That's the beauty of perennials.

My hydrangea are gorgeous. I have been cutting some blooms and putting them around the house.

My favorite blooming right now are my Oriental lilies, especially the Casa Blancas. Love the fragrance.

Since I live on a wooded property, everything is shade-oriented. My hostas are coming along nicely.

We have about 18 drift roses, all pink, across the front of our house. We just planted them in February and they're blooming now, for the second time. I love them.
