Does a web site know when and how many times you visit the site? I understand about cookies etc. But can the person who runs the site tell if you have been there or how many times? Thank you! Nothing illegal, just curious!

Well, I've been on some sights looking at stuff to purchase and then go to another site and the "pop ups" are the same stuff I'd looked at earlier, so I'd say yes.
