hi ladies!

anyone going to watch the astronaut wives club season premiere tonight? i am about half way through the episode tonight. looks like a good soap opera type drama.

is this supposed to be based on facts (the personal "stuff" i mean)? or is it considered historical fiction?

I lasted all of 20 minutes with it. It didn't keep my attention.

it will probably be on on demand.....and maybe on abc go.......

i usually like anything that is like a soap opera type of show so i plan on watching.

it is a limited edition series. ten episodes i believe.

Lasted 15 minutes into the show reminded me of that show( I can't think of the name) but it was centered around Wisteria Lane with Eva Longoria but these women are wives of astronauts. I won't watch again but looking forward to Mistresses!

The main thing I got from this show is that one of the wives mentioned the book The Navy Wife.

It's a real book created to teach young wives of Navy officers how to dress, how to behave, how to do so many things, all the way from dating through marriage and setting up a household and traveling with her new husband.

I was familiar with it from childhood and last year found a used copy at one of the online book sellers (I think Powell's had a copy when I was searching).

It's a fun resource for naval terminology and mores (pron. "morays") of the time.

I thought it was good not great. But I will give it another try. (Mistresses is SO much better though).

Also on Thursdays; This show, Wayward Pines, Aquarius, Hannibal, Mistresses, and soon Under The Dome starts on Thursday!. SIX shows I watch on Thursdays! I wish they would space them out on other days! lol.
