Stupid question about Kindle ( paper white) ?

My Daddy always told me that NO question is ever stupid , but I feel as though this is?

I have a Paper White Kindle. It was a gift last year , I think it was around 200 dollars , it has no ads on it . My question is , how many books does it hold? I have almost 115 downloaded now on it. I've read like 10 or so in the past year and do you delete the ones you've already read? I know I'm paying for them , but I was not sure if I should remove them after I'm done with them , to make more room for other books? I just bought a tablet that came last week. I'm terrified to even open it. My whole Family already warned me they are not helping me with it , LOL. TIA.
