Public Facebook pages and log-in box - solution

[ Edited ]

If you've been getting the "log in" box on what should be a public Facebook page, there is a simple solution.

This happened to me, too, and I learned that all you have to do is hit your "escape" key and the log-in box goes away and you can now read the Facebook pages.  (You just can't post, of course, unless you are a member.)

Edited to add:  It's been brought to my attention this may not work for iPads or similar devices.  Maybe someone else know?

How do we make it go away if we're using iPad?

I have the same question as @wildcat fan.  When this issue came up in an earlier thread no one ever answered.

if it is a public facebook page then you can also easily get in by googling the name and/or page that you want and click on a direct link to get there. for example, google "dan wheeler qvc" and one of the first links via google search will take you right to his facebook page.
