I was walking my dog and noticed the woman across the street was letting her little dog follow her with no leash. The dog saw my dog and started to cross the street to see my dog. I thought for sure the dog would get killed as a car was coming. Luckily, the dog was ok. I yelled at her that her dog needs to be on a leash and could have been killed. She tells me the dog always follows her and she does not worry about that. I told her in no uncertain terms that she was an "idiot" and needed to keep her dog on a leash. I told her that I was worrried about her being a pet owner and that dogs get disoriented and could be hurt. She was mad that I yelled at her and told me I should not have insulted her. I again told her she was an idiot and I was worried about her as a pet owner. She picked up her dog and carried her/him down the street. I really think they should give common sense tests to people who want dogs.
