As an unknown Mary auditioned for the part of Danny Thomas's oldest daugher on his sitcom, he turned her down for the part. Several years later he was a part of the DVD creation, he said  when looking for the part of Laura, Get me the girl with the 3 names!!!

DVD, Ed Asner, Cloris Leachman,  Carl Reiner and Betty White will be devestated, who would have thought they , all in their 90's would have outlived her.

Sad news, indeed, to know she is gone.

Her on screen persona made us believe she would live for forever.  Terrible that she was so ill.

Just heartbreaking.
