Yes!  (Thumbs up emotion).  Rum with a sprinkle of nutmeg!  Yum, I can smell the aroma and taste it right now!

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Southern Comfort is also nice

Yes, Southern Comfort is really good in eggnog .... or leave it non-alcoholic and have a few bottles nearby so people can add their spirit of choice.

I make a ton of eggnog every Christmas for family, friends, & neighbors.  I use 1/2 cup Brandy, Rum, & Grand Marnier, original recipe called for 1 cup of each,

(found that to be too much) recipe makes about 1 gallon & 1/2, absolutely delicious, i usually make 3 or 4 batches.

We're all coming over!

@Crv, ok here goes

6 eggs, separated  - beat yolks till thick & pale

1 cup sugar - add to egg yolks gradually while beating

1/2 cup Grand Marnier, Brandy, Rum  - add to yolk mix

1 1/2 quarts whole milk, - add slowly & stir

Chill 1 hour

Beat egg whites till stiff, fold into yolk mix

3 cups whipping cream - beat till stiff peaks, fold into mix

Best made 1-2 days ahead to mellow

ENJOY!
