My Toilet Overflowed This Morning!

Fortunatly it was CLEAN water, but still, what a mess!!!!

All of my towels are soaked from mopping up, and now I have to launder them.

My next door neighbor and I share the same plumbing, and *I* know that the only thing that I have flushed is toilet paper, and I don't use a half a roll each time I'm in there.

*Sigh*

If it isn't one thing, it's something else.

That water can do so much damage! You'd think in this day and age, they would have perfected a toilet that wouldn't overflow, or had some mechanism to shut itself down when it began to spill over!

Re: My Toilet Overflowed This Morning!

Your post reminds me of when the city was blowing out the lines in our neighborhood. There is a manhole in the street in front of our house and at one point when they were working in it my toilet water came shooting out of the toilet. Glad I wasn't sitting on it at the time! Smiley Happy

Exactly the reason why I think having at least a small wet/dry vac is as necessary as having a regular vacuum!  Quick, thorough clean-up of watery messes without adding another chore such as laundering!

@Plaid Pants2 I feel your  pain!  Over the years there has been several times my toilet has overflowed.

Just know we understand.

Re: My Toilet Overflowed This Morning!

I live in an old house with continual plumbing issues. An overflowing toilet is the only problem that hasn't happened yet (fingers crossed).
