The combination of youth/alcohol/emotions, and speed do not usually end well.

Did you bother to read the OP's post?

No where did it say alcohol was a factor? It is possible they made an error and hit the jetty by ACCIDENT.

So only youths are prone to die in boating accidents?  Whatever.

hckynut is full of it @Melania.  He wanted you to respond in that fashion.

@hckynut

ITA.

Maybe saying "youth/probable impairment/emotions, and speed"

would better suited at this early stage of investigation.

Since autopsies were just completed, toxicology reports are still outstanding.  He was seen partying earlier in the evening,

so if toxicology reports come back positive, I hope it's only alcohol.

Time will tell.

@sidsmom

I shouldn't have mentioned alcohol, that is what was said on the news, and I should have waited till the reports come out. Heard the partying mentioned and I mistakenly assumed they were drinking. Not smart on my part.

Boating at night at those kind of speeds? Any way one looks at it, it was a tragedy for everyone involved, and families suffering their loses.

Condolences to all of those family members.

@sidsmom, there's no reason to interject any of the above since it has not been interjected as a truth in the story.  We can simply wait until we get the final reports.
