What is the obsession with these people?

Or is this just another attempt to stir up trouble on the forum?

I agree.

The dad will also dictate what should or shouldn't be sold at the business.  It's really his.

I do not remember her having one, Jill yes but Jana I did not realize she delivered babies.  I thought she just did the sewing/seamstress role in the family.

She was studying to become a duola. Rumor is that she was not really interested in this, but was doing it to partner with Jill who was studying to be a midwife.  They generally don't do much outside the home unless they have a partner -- thus Jana had to study too.  (Jill could not pursue any interests outside the home unless she had a sister to watch over her.)
