Looking for a new job~Advice on picking a real estate company to work for

Hi everyone, I am looking for a job in a completely different field from what I am used to. I just passed the real estate license exam and am going to start to look at local companies. I am in NJ, but was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the companies out there. I spoke with someone at a weichert office recently. They were ok, but I heard pretty negative stuff about them afterwards. and they wanted about $2000 startup fees for memberships etc.
