Her voice sounded great. I wish she hadn't added a couple of those riffs. It seemed affected, and there's something about a white, blonde lady trying to mimic a soulful black woman that irks me. If she had stood at attention, sung the melody straightforward, and let her natural talent stand for itself, she could have given Whitney a run for her money. That didn't happen. Great? Yes. The best? Not to me.

I don't believe someone needs to be a fan to respect talent.

I really don't even like football, per se, but I respect the ability of the players who take part in the game.

ITA with what you said. After a little thought one thing came to mind. There is so much talent in this world. Most is never discovered. There is so much greatness and talent we never ever get the privlidge to hear. The costumes and the name Lady Gaga got her to the point where people listen to her without the fancy costumes. When they go to a show, they get a show...but the pleasant surprise is she has a great voice.

I think it is a wonderful compliment and testiment to her talent for someone to say, "I never understood why she needed ll the weird outfits".
