@nana59 I would say you had a GREAT day if you didn't get a ticket. Best way to look at it.

I lost my best friend quite a few years ago. She had cancer. I was lost for a while. Had sad times. I treasure the time I had with her. We were so alike. I have new friends and some old ones. I do enjoy my friends. It just isn't quite the same. After we lose our parents and old friends things are not the same. Enjoy what you have. It will be better.

So very sorry about your friend, having been through that with a wonderful pal a few years ago, whom I absolutely cherished.
Wishing you peace and hope for good times and nice life events very soon...

@nana59 I am glad your DH likes your cut and I am hoping you do too.I bet your friend would feel bad if she knew how sad you are and she would want you to try to find some happy moments while you miss and mourn her.

@dex wrote:@nana59 did your haircut at least pep up your sad mood?I can't figure out how the police officer noticed that you weren't wearing the seat belt. That stinks but it is supposed to save your life.My son got pulled over once for speeding even though the officer had not recorded his speed. He handcuffed and checked my son for hidden stuff on his person. My poor son was taking his girlfriend home and now he had to do it with a police escort. The officer followed our son home and came in to chat with us about the incident. My son had never been in trouble and all of his insurance etc was current and he hadn't been drinking alcohol.I was a little angry with the officer at first for putting my don through all of that humiliation for nothing but then I thought...mmm could save his life though. He was shaken up and I am sure he drove with much more caution after that.He is 30 now and zero speeding tickets to his record.
Huh? So he had no evidence your son was speeding .... what exactly did he say at your house?

@Tinkrbl44 Yes he did .He said he was doing paper work and could tell my son was speeding.

Always use your seat belt. Save you life and possibly others. Very sorry about the loss of your best friend. Take care, and try to venture out to be around others. Hugs and healing wishes for you.
