Jodi Arias case - strange similarities between witness and defendant

Has anyone noticed how they answer the prosecution's questions? So evasive and going around in circles. When asked to just answer the question they both do anything to avoid answering and when pinned down they ask to have the question repeated. Then they start going in circles again. Have they been coached to (not)answer this way? Have the defense lawyers taught them to answer in ways to frustrate the prosecution? DH and I find ourselves yelling at the tv "just answer the question". We hoped the judge would notice and start telling the witness to behave.
