Hi,
I am heavily into my family history again. Once of those things I pick up again after I get stumped and put it all away. LOL, I started in the 1980's.
So with that, I would really love to read what is what like, especially for women, in the 1870's-1920 time frame. Preferably Urban rather than country living. Would really give me more insite to what was really going on back then.
Even when NBC did Helen Hunt's history, there was clearly a lot of men drinking all the time and I am quite sure abuse as well. At least in my G.Grandmother's history there was.
So, if you know of any books?? pass on the info. THANK YOU!!!!
