Re: If You Had A Meeting With The Higher Ups At QVC.......

I see where QVC is offering 50-60% off on alot of their clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories!  Well, that is a start...good for them, but it is only for 1 day!  When HSN has huge clearance days of fashion, home, jewelry...the clearance prices stay the same!  The free shipping or more easy pay may not, but the clearance prices do!

Q.....next time you have these clearance sales, why mark them back up after 24 hours?  Just keep the clearance prices and move out old inventory!

Dear QVC,

HSN has FREE s/h on fashion, jewelry, and beauty - along with four easy pays for theses items

Almost every week I receive a 20% discount code to use on a single item.

Why can't you do the same?

I've read a good portion of this thread.  You all have great ideas!  I hope someone from QVC is reading and taking notes.

I have noticed lately that some items do have better sale prices, and that the price info on the screen actually says "30% off" or whatever.

Hire a Director of Shipping that is capable of negotiating a contract such as HSN has, where even though UPS is suppose to deliver to USPS for final delivery they say "we will be in your neighborhood and deliver your package". UPS is helping out USPS. UPS is a far superior carrier and at least in my area has courteous drivers.

Terminate LaserShip.

Beef up your IT Dept so that real time package tracking actually works with USPS.

Train your hosts to make sure all significant information is covered during the few minutes you are recording the presentation for online viewing. I prefer to shop this way but many times the product video consists of the host small talking with the vendor about unrelated things.

Hosts need to talk to us like we are adults, not in grade school. They also need to present themselves as adults minus any little girl or little boy talk.

I do not wash my hair every day so frequency of auto delivery of related products needs to be more flexible. In addition, more consideration of a two to one ratio of shampoo to conditioner. Shampoo is usually long gone with much conditioner remaining.

Hire a clothing designer and/or on air rep that understands gauze = 100% cotton. Gauze does not contain polyester.

Make sure that garment specifications are carefully measured and posted.

Bring back the fabrics of yesteryear when polyester was rarely used.

Use coupon incentives after purchasing "X" amount of dollars. HSN does it and so can you. I regularly receive coupons from HSN which provided incentive for me to go looking around on their site. For me, easy pay is not an incentive, rarely use it.

Many good suggestions in this thread.

[ Edited ]

I'd show up in my favorite LDO outfit and red power shoes, leading with my handbag.  I would hand out copies of this thread and read some of the excellent suggestions and ask them when LDO was going to have the 1st of at least 12 TSVs.  When they asked me just who the heck I thought I was, I'd ignore that and irritably ask them when LDO was going to have the 1st of at least 12 TSVs.  When they try to escort me out, I would challenge them (with all due respect, of course) and that will fail miserably.  Inevitably, my Italian would get up and I would lose it and become argumentative, unkind, and inappropriate.  Eventually...POOF...I'd be unceremoniously removed never to be heard from again (at least not under this nic hehehe)!

More petite sized fashions and more air time for petite models. Free S&H and returns, my son thinks I'm crazy to buy from the Q when most everywhere else online gives free S&H and returns. I tell him we are really paying for the entertainment  since the Q is really like a show that sells stuff. My son sat down and watched SK on Monday night for a while and he thought SK was acting and if she wasn't that she had obvious mental issues.

The TSV goes on for hours. The presentations are far too long.

Don't always need vendors for products.

More new products.

Not so many "made for tv" products

Please hire a voice coach for new hosts. A more modulated voice is much easier  on the ears.

The frenetic sales tactics are a turn off.

Hire an IT company that can work out all the bugs on the website.

I have been a customer since CVN.

I feel you. I do not watch the shows. I look at the videos for the products I want online.

Sometimes the product doesn't have a video.  What do you do then?
