I have noticed that expressions come out of my mouth that sound just like my Mother:
1. Be sure to wear your warm jacket (to DH)
2. Now where did I put those readers?
3. Why can't they open another register? Hate waiting in
line!
What do you hear yourself saying that sounds like your Mother?

Tee hee @Shanus my mom's favorite line was "why are these old people getting in my way?" whenever we would hit a grocery store when the retirement home bus showed up at the same time (please know she was in her 80's at this point) . . . egad they would make her crazy . . .

The worm will turn
Look after yourself and eat your fruits and vegetables.
Dont waste your money on little things.
Did you wash your hands.

Always wear clean underwear in case you get in an accident.
Call me when you get there, just so I know you're okay.
Don't go out with a wet head, you'll catch cold.
Don't sit too close to the television, it'll ruin your eyes
Money does NOT grow on trees.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
You can't judge a book by its cover.

It's not so much that I sound like her but have started doing things she did. I have started to have knee issues and find myself bending with butt out and using furniture as things to grab to get up. I also find myself rocking a bit when getting up from a soft sofa or chair. Of course, the readers and having difficulty threading a needle even with readers. These are all things I used to kid her and her friends about but I now get it!

Holy Hannah!
H_ll's bells!
Dollars to donuts...
Useless as a t_t on a duck!
If Hitler had the lead she/he has in her/his ___, he would have won the war!
You want to paint? Why don't you start painting this house? (I haven't said this, but I've sure been thinking it.)
Madonna mia!
Don't air your dirty laundry.
She's a prima donna.
Stata zeet! (Not spelled this way, but sure sounds like it.)
Gabbadost!
Holy criminenelli! (I think that was her Italian version of "criminy.")

Practically everything I say sounds like my mother, except when I curse, my Mom never cursed!

"You make your own happiness."

My mom was German so many of her expressions were in that language, but my favorite translated is her response to one of my if only pleas. She would say " if my grandmother had wheels she would be a bus" . Mom had a million of them, and I find myself repeating them. Gosh I miss her.
